There are a variety of jobs in the WIC Program. WIC staff enjoy working with children
and families, and are dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles. They are willing to give parents the time, attention
and advice they need to help them meet the nutritional challenges
of parenthood.
What do people who work for WIC do?...
Nutrition Assistants are often the first point of
contact for the WIC Program. They perform a variety
of administrative tasks and help guide families through
the application process.
Nutritionists provide specialized nutrition
counseling to WIC participants and families. Nutritionists
work with local health care providers, and other health
and social service organizations. They serve as a community
resource for infant and childhood nutrition issues.
