Volunteers are a valuable part of the WIC team. Local
WIC agencies depend on volunteers to help provide services
to families and promote WIC in the community. Volunteers

- Greet clients
- Help entertain children in the waiting room
- Show educational videos in waiting areas
- Help parents find community resources
- Work at health fairs
- Help create children's activities and bulletin board
displays
- Help promote breastfeeding
- Help new parents adjust to the adventures of parenthood
- Bring WIC posters and pamphlets to doctors offices,
clinics, day care centers, grocery stores, laundromats,
and other community service locations.
